It’s a little bit of a slow start to What’s On In April, but we are gearing up for a bumper Easter Weekend!
April 9th: Grand National
We’ll be showing all the action live from Aintree, on all the screens. Sadly we cannot take bets, but we’ll take any top tips!😉
17th April, Good Friday: Live Music
‘Black Jack’ recently played at our sister pub, The Great North Wood, and were a huge success. We are pleased to welcome them here!
They’ll be joining us from 8:30pm until close, playing classic rock & blues.
16th April, Easter Saturday:
Our Annual Easter Egg Hunt returns!
Pop in to see us between 12 & 5pm, grab a bite to eat and send the kids off to find an egg or 2. They can redeem at the bar for a Sweet Treat. 🐰🐣🐥
17th April, Easter Sunday:
Doors will open at 11am, so those of you who are venturing up to support Crystal Palace FC against Chelsea can grab a drink before the journey. From 12pm, normal Sunday service will resume. We’ll be serving our fabulous selection of Roasts; choice of Rump of Beef, Half a Chicken, Pork Belly, Leg of Lamb and our vegan option. View our full menu here!
18th April, Bank Holiday Monday:
We’ll be opening our doors from midday and normal Spring/Summer hours will resume. That means lunchtimes at The Portland Arms on Mondays & Tuesdays is back on!
We’re hoping that the sun is going to reappear & stay with us! Our marquee has come down in preparation for long, lazy days in the beer garden. Hopefully, you have noticed we have had a minor facelift. Sadly, the scaffold will be up a little while longer…
